Catalonia Riviera Maya is an all-inclusive
resort on the Mexican
Caribbean, located about 50 miles south of Cancun in the town of Puerto Aventuras. An all-inclusive resort includes lodging and almost all activities, food, entertainment, and drinks for one price. The resort is in Quintana Roo, the same state as Cancun. Visitors to Catalonia Riviera Maya can enjoy a number of activities.
Water Activities
Catalonia Riviera Maya offers a number of water activities for its guests, and almost all are included in the price of the resort stay. Choices include water aerobics classes, water polo, beach and pool volleyball, diving, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and pedal boating. There are a number of nonmotorized water sports activities, including a diving course, available in the Atlantic Ocean and the resort's outdoor pool.
Athletic Activities
For those interested in land sports and recreation, the resort has a full gymnasium and multipurpose athletic court. Guests can take traditional aerobics classes, play table tennis or shuffleboard, practice or learn archery, and enjoy daytime bicycle rides or tennis. Basketball is also offered.
Entertainment
Catalonia Riviera Maya offers an on-site theater with live evening shows, a complete sports bar with a number of television channels, other types of bars and a disco. The resort holds a variety of friendly competitions and theme nights for guests, offers daily transport to the town of Playa del Carmen, and a children's club.
Rooms, Food, and Drink
Rooms at Catalonia Riviera Maya include air conditioning, telephones, a complete bathroom with hair dryer, cable television, safety deposit box. Extra bedding and baby cots are available. Each guest room has either a balcony or a terrace, ideal for experiencing the outdoor air of the Mexican Caribbean. Visitors can try authentic Mexican cuisine, steak dinners, crepes and ice cream, and a variety of juices and Caribbean cocktails.
