With 777 rooms, this mega-sprawling resort is on the Atlantic Ocean in the dead center of Cancun's "hotel-zone" known as Riviera Maya. On property, you will find a casino, tennis courts, private beaches, swimming pools and an all-you-can-eat-and-drink lifestyle. Employees dedicated to kids' activities are provided to make the parents' week a relaxing one.
Wows and Woes

You don't have to worry about anything when on property. There is tons of food to eat, drinks are available nearly 24 hours a day and the activities are plenty. Show up with a bathing suit, shorts and nice shirts for the evenings.
With so many rooms and guests on the property, taking the hotel shuttle is a hassle. Make sure to request the shuttle a couple of days in advance or you will find yourself planning a weird schedule around the few available slots.

Insider Tips

It's not a great romantic spot for a honeymoon, but the perfect spring break destination. Unless you want to party like you are 19 again, avoid booking a room in March or April. For time with other families, come during the summer.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

Every night after dinner, the same group of performers would put on a different show. It was funny to recognize the faces in different costumes as the week went along and see some of the performers excelled during the dancing shows, while others' talent was the acrobatics. There were very multi-dimensional performers to have to do so many types of shows throughout the week.

Bottom Line

This sprawling resort is the perfect family getaway and activity hub.
