resort because of its
beach and vibrant nightlife. There are many restaurants, nightclubs, bars and lounges in Laganas. If you are planning to visit this beautiful, relaxing and exciting Greek island town, there is no shortage of fun things to see and do.
Laganas Beach
Laganas Beach is a massive beach that is also the most popular one on the whole island of Zakynthos. It is a sandy beach that spans 9 km in length. The waters of the beach are known for being clear and beautiful. The beach is excellent for swimming and sunbathing, and it also offers a large array of taverns and snack bars. It is a great place to spot the endangered species of loggerhead sea turtles (Carretta carretta) and is protected by the Greek government for that reason. There are gift shops, lounges, bars and restaurants scattered around the beach as well. This vibrant and pleasant beach is the biggest tourist draw in Laganas.
Rescue Club
Laganas is known for its numerous nightclubs. Rescue, one of the most popular and crowded Laganas nightclubs, is a great place to relax under the stars (there is an outdoors section) while enjoying an exotic cocktail. The club is always hopping and plays a diverse assortment of the latest dance and house-music hits. The club's decor is fashionable and trendy, and the sound and lighting systems are both of high quality. There are several guest DJs who regularly spin music at Rescue.

Medousa Club
Medousa Club is another extremely popular Laganas nightclub. It is conveniently located in the center of the town and is continually expanding (it is three times larger than it was when it first opened). There is an outdoor seating area, and the bar is large. The club has a DJ inside who spins electronic, dance and R&B music every night. The sound system is great, and there are mesmerizing lighting effects at this loud and fun-loving club. In the middle of the club, there is an island bar that has bartenders on all sides.

Mouria Restaurant
Dining is another big attraction in Laganas, and Mouria Restaurant is one of the finest restaurants in the town. In existence since 1958, this restaurant is large and has a bright, airy atmosphere. It offers gorgeous views of Matatonisi Island as well as the Gulf of Laganas. The menu serves up a delightful fusion of Mediterranean, Greek and international delights. Some menu items include aubergine salad, chicken curry, avocado with prawns, grilled fillet steak, lasagna, fried squid and chicken pizza.
