The city of Rome boasts some of the most ancient sites in Europe, such as St. Peter's Dome, the Vatican and the Pantheon. It is also a place to indulge in meals with fine cuisine and good wine, often from Italy's own wine-growing regions, such as Tuscany, Sardinia and Piedmont. If you travel to Rome, visit one of the city's rooftop restaurants, often found in hotels, where you can view the city's famous landscape as well as sample the exquisite food.
