Reasons to Travel to Spain
Spain is as welcoming a country as anywhere in Europe. The people, food, weather and Mediterranean scenery mean a perfect vacation for both the beach dweller and museum enthusiast. Old historic buildings and a culture influenced by many surrounding countries makes this country a necessary stop on your European tour.
The Weather

Although some say Spain's weather is always terrific, there is a range of temperatures and precipitation. Summer in Spain, especially in the South, will usually be sunny. July and August will definitely be beach weather. Most areas of Spain do have four seasons, including temperatures in the 30's and snow in higher elevations.

The Food

Spanish food ranges from traditional to haute cuisine. You can find restaurants within every price range. Desserts are a big thing in Spain and every meal is finished off with a sweet treat. Each region of Spain has its own specialties including pastries, creme brulee and ice creams.

The Traditions

From the historic Running of the Bulls in Pamplona to the Celebration of the Fallas in Valencia, you'll be immersed in color, music and art while learning about the traditional celebrations of the region. Easter means the Procession of the Virgin in Malaga and the La Ronda and Los Pasos processions in Leon. Spain's festivals and parades are unique and should not be missed.

The Architecture

A beloved son of Spain, Anthoni Gaudi, has created some of the most awesome architectural wonders in the region. A trip to Barcelona will have you surrounded by samples of his work including the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and the Guell Palace.

Madrid

The cities in Spain are always exciting and vibrant. Madrid, Spain's capital, is the icing on the cake. Like stepping back in history, you'll see buildings from the 16th century as well as modern day cultural centers. The famous Prado Art Museum has exhibits including Salvadore Dali and Picasso. Culture and diversity make Madrid a lively stop on your tour.

Barcelona

A smooth transition between the Roman ruins, medieval architecture and the modern Mediterranean means Barcelona has it all. Schedule your trip to include the annual Merce Festival and spend time both on the coastal beaches and the Catalan Pyrenees mountain ranges.

The Wineries

Located throughout the country, wineries and towns offer a tourist a respite from the bustling city life. Jumilla, which is in the Region of Murcia, will surround you with old towns and producing wineries that will whet your appetite for more. You can take a guided winery tour, enjoy wine tasting and stay in country-luxury.

The Coasts

Famous for their scenic coasts along the Mediterranean, towns like Costa del Sol have a blend of mountains and beaches that keep visitors coming back year after year. You'll find just about everything along the coasts, including golf clubs, night clubs, marinas and the semi tropical flora and fauna that makes this area so beautiful.
