Paris, France is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world. Whether you are traveling to Paris with your other half or are planning the ultimate
family vacation, there is plenty to do in this famous city. Whether you are looking for traditional vacation stops or something a little less predictable, there is never a shortage of things to get into in Paris, no matter how old you are or in what you are interested.
Don't Miss Out on the Eiffel Tower
Take a trip to the Eiffel Tower. It may seem obvious enough, but the Eiffel Tower is more than a lovely backdrop for a trip photograph. There are two ways to see the Eiffel Tower; you can hire a tour guide or show yourself around. Tour guides show guests the inner workings of the tower as well as provide some interesting historical information about it.
The stairs can take guests part of the way up the tower. For those who want the spectacular view offered from the very top, there is an elevator that goes all the way up. The line tends to get rather long for this elevator on busy travel days, so be sure to allot plenty of time for an excursion to the Eiffel Tower.

It can take an entire day or more to get through the whole museum. Map out ahead of time what you want to see during your visit, and do not forget to include the Mona Lisa. If you still have energy left after checking out your favorites, take the time to walk around and see the rest of what the famous Musee du Louvre has to offer.

Eat Real French Food
No trip to Paris would be complete without trying out some of the local fare. Paris is one of the fine cuisine capitals of the world, but it is important to be open when trying out some of the local food. Throw any preconceived notions that you have out the window when you step into a Parisian restaurant and at least sample something new, even if you do not make a whole meal out of it.
Crepes, galettes and escargot are a great place to start. If you are not sure what those are, what better way to find out than giving them a try in Paris?
Browse an Open Air Market
Paris is known for its open air markets, also known as flea markets. This is a great way to pick up some unique souvenirs from your trip. It is also a great way to sample some local food, meet people and take in some beautiful Parisian weather if you are lucky. Marché aux Puces is the most famous flea market in Paris. One can buy antiques, junk, food or flowers here. With more than 2,500 stalls, the market can take a day in itself to comb through. It is best to make a day out of a trip to a Parisian flea market, especially this one.
