London, England, is a temperate oceanic climate. London has four distinct seasons.
Warm Months
The weather in London is typically mild, not often reaching extreme temperatures. July and August are typically the warmest.
Cold Months
January and February are typically the coldest months, on average reaching temperatures ranging from 36° F to 46° F (2.2° C to 7.7° C).

Light precipitation can occur year-round in London. July and August usually receive the most rain. A few snowfalls are typical during the winter months.
Fun Fact
In February 2009, England received the heaviest snowfall since 1991. As of February 6th, parts of England had accumulated as much as 22 inches (56 centimeters) of snow.
