Hotels at Disneyland Resort in Paris Review

Disneyland Hotel Paris
Disneyland Hotel Paris
While the Disneyland resort Paris operates seven hotels, the Disneyland Hotel Paris offers the finest and most exclusive accommodations of the bunch. Boasting an exquisite Victorian exterior, with a breathtaking high ceiling lobby to match, the hotel also boasts two top-notch restaurants, an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. Each of the 496 rooms on hand feature a warm décor, as well as such modern amenities as Internet access, cable television and air conditioning. As an added perk, the hotel sits directly at the entrance to Disneyland Paris.

The hotel's signature buffet restaurant, Inventions, delivers a delicious and varied selection of exceptional international cuisine for both lunch and dinner. The wait staff could not be more welcoming, helpful or attentive. As an added bonus, Disney characters often walk through the restaurant, entertaining guests of all ages.

The Disneyland Hotel Paris houses a truly beautiful indoor pool, in a room designed to continue the hotel's stunning Victorian themed décor. Unfortunately the hotel lacks an outdoor pool, a sorely missed opportunity, particularly during those warm Parisian summer days.

Think twice before shelling out big Euros at the hotel's on-site souvenir shop. Much like the hotel itself, the price tags there can be rather high. Instead, peruse the many souvenir shops inside Disneyland Paris or at the Disney Village, the adjacent shopping and entertainment complex. You will most likely find a greater selection of less expensive items at either location.

My travel mates on a six-week European excursion believed in intermittent pampering sessions. Having grown up 20 minutes outside of Anaheim, I reluctantly agreed to splurge on a Disneyland Hotel Paris guest room. I'm forever grateful that I did. While the restaurants served marvelous food and the spa provided a lovely retreat, there's just something special about spending the evening on your own private balcony laughing the night away with friends.

Although the rates remain incredibly steep, if you long for a lavish experience while in Europe, the Disneyland Hotel Paris hits the right notes.
