Review of the Hotel Gotty Opera in Paris, France

Hotel Gotty
Hotel Gotty
The Hotel Gotty is a quirky, creative and somewhat odd place to stay in the heart of Paris. Each room is individually decorated with an artistic flair that can border on gaudy. Amenities include 24-hour room service, free Internet access and a pet acceptance policy. The complimentary breakfast is delectable, and the concierge provides superior service.
Wows and Woes

The lobby will make you feel like you're about to enter an international art gallery. The staff will spoil you by bringing free breakfast to your room.

On the same token, the constant decor sometimes has the effect of overkill, especially when the floral wall paper clashes with the print carpet. In addition, the hotel isn't located close to many main tourist attractions like The Eiffel Tower or Champs Elysee.

Insider Tips

Ask for a top floor room where the bathtubs have terrific views of the city of Paris.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

I love taking a bath, and I was able to see the whole city laid out in front of me while soaking in the tub. I popped a bottle of bubbly and proceeded to watch the city lights come on one by one. My bathroom view was so fantastic. I ordered room service, and I ate there with the perfect view.

Bottom Line

This is a charming place to stay with four star service at three star prices.
