Genoa is the center of the Italian Riviera. It literally divides the Riviera into two separate areas. Go west from Genoa and you are in the the Riviera di Ponente which goes all the way to the border with France. Go east and you are in the Riviera di Levante which goes to Capo Corva. The hotels in Genoa and the Italian Riviera range from large and modern that cater more to the business traveler to small and intimate which cater more to couples and families.
