You can use the Internet to find cheap airfare to London. Several websites will compare different airline deals and prices for you, allowing you to pick the one that works best for you. Consulting with a travel agent will also help find cheap airfare to London. Travel agents will know different packages or airfare deals that companies are offering. You may want to consider flying during the middle of the week instead of on a weekend to get cheaper prices. Recently, many airlines are offering special deals to European cities if you depart from certain U.S. cities, so this is something else to consider.

Step 1
Use a website that compares the airfare to London from your departing city. Two websites to try are BestFares and 1-800-Fly-Europe (see Resources below). These websites are very easy to use. You can type in your departing city and London, UK as your destination. Then enter your travel dates. The websites will find different airfares for you to compare and choose. You can also call 1-800-Fly-Europe (see Tips for phone number) and speak to a travel specialist to help you find the cheapest airfare to London.Their office hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m to 6 p.m. (EST
Step 2
Try different departing cities to find lower airfare. You can also try different departing and returning dates if your travel times are flexible. For example, if you live in Columbia, Missouri, you could possibly leave and travel to London from St. Louis, Kansas City or Columbia. Make sure to figure the cost of grand transportation and/or long-term parking if you leave from a different city than where you live.
Step 3
Fly as an air courier to London. An air courier works for a company as a messenger. You are flying with a delivery to a certain desitnation, and you can get much cheaper airfare this way, such as a $100 round-trip ticket to London. The one thing about being an air courier is that you do have to travel light and often on short notice. You can look at the online Air Courier Directory (see Resources below) for a list of companies that use freelance air couriers.
Step 4
Find a travel agency in your local Yellow Pages, and ask a travel agent to help you find the cheapest airfare to London. When you are working with a travel agent, ask him to also find hotel rooms and/or rental cars. Sometimes, your airfare becomes cheaper if you add more services through the travel agency. If you have to stay in a hotel, ask the travel agent to find you the best prices in London and create a package deal with your airfare.
Step 5
Contact British Airways (see Resources below) and discover its current special offers. For example, they have programs wherein you can register for frequent flyer miles if you often fly to London. They also offer a Visa card and on-line shopping programs that enable you to earn points toward discount flights. With these British Airways programs, you may be able to get cheaper airfare to London.
Step 6
Fly to London during a non-peak time. If you fly during holidays or the summer, airfares tend to be more expensive. Usually flying in mid-January is a good time, although you may run into bad weather. You could also try in the fall once school starts and before Thanksgiving.
