Bermuda Passport Requirements
Most people travel to Bermuda to relax at their pristine
beaches and have fun in the sun. Because tourism is Bermuda's second-largest industry, it a good choice for a vacation destination. Knowing the proper requirements to travel to Bermuda will make your trip go much more smoothly.
Passport Requirements for Air Travelers
You must have the following to enter Bermuda by airplane: a valid United States passport. If you do not have a passport or need to renew one, you can do this by visiting www.travel.state.gov and accessing the "Apply for a Passport" section.
Passport Requirements for Sea Travelers
You must have the following to enter Bermuda by sea: a valid Unites States passport; or government documentation that includes a photo identification card and birth certificate. Effective June 1, 2009, all sea travelers will need a valid passport or passport card.
Passport Processing Times
If you are applying for a passport or renewal, keep in mind that it can take up to 6 weeks to receive your passport after you have applied for one, so plan accordingly.
