The Academy Hotel Dublin is located in the very heart of Dublin, Ireland. The hotel is located just off the spirited O'Connell Street. Just minutes from the hotel you can find the airport bus stop as well as the Dublin city bus stop. If you prefer to walk around the hotel you will find many shops, bars, galleries, parks and other attractions. Hotel amenities include and on-site bar and restaurant,
24-hour front desk service, coffee shop and currency exchange service. Guest rooms have complimentary Internet access, toiletries, cable/satellite TV, coffee maker and a complimentary newspaper.
Wows and Woes
The guest rooms at the Academy Hotel Dublin are very clean, with comfortable beds. The best part about the hotel is its location, its just off the lively O'Connell street and seconds from the airport bus sto, and the Dublin city bus stop. The restaurant was fantastic and serve magnificent spare ribs.
The downside is the small rooms, and the overall high prices in the city of Dublin.
Insider Tips
Stops at Kilmainham Gaol Museum and Temple bar are musts and are just minutes from the hotel.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
The most interesting experience I had was touring the Kilmainham Gaol Historical Museum. It is a old prison converted to a museum and teaches you about Ireland's historical struggles and plights.
Bottom Line
Fantastic location near numerous shops, businesses, restaurants, bars and a convenient location to bus stops for the airport and for the city bus service.
