Punta Coral is a beautiful part of the Central American nation of Costa Rica. Punta Coral is only accessible by boat. This untarnished, stunning area is a private reserve (because tropical dry forest is endangered and so rare) that is part of a tropical dry forest and is composed of a quiet
beach and a valley full of interesting flora. There are also many caves and rock formations in the valley. If you want to explore serenity and natural beauty, Punta Coral is a wonderful place to visit.
Nature Trails
Walking on nature trails is a great way to explore Punta Coral in a tranquil, leisurely manner. The many fascinating trees and plants are labeled which makes walking all the more intriguing and informative. There are also many unusual animals in the area, such as howler monkeys (and troops of them at once), yellow naped amazon parrots, different types of hummingbirds and exotic butterflies. Who knows what you just might encounter on a Punta Coral nature trail?
Water Activities
Punta Coral is a great place to engage in water activities. Some popular recreational activities to partake in while in Punta Coral's calm, crystal clear waters include kayaking and snorkeling. The beach is also safe for swimming. Kayaking and snorkeling in Punta Coral is particularly pleasant because the area is completely private and accessible only to people on guided tours (as you would be as well, since tours are the only way to get into this privately owned, endangered area).
Weddings
A lot of people choose Punta Coral as a place to get married and have a wedding. This is because of the area's isolation and simple natural beauty. With Punta Coral's vibrant gardens, swaying palm trees and pristine tropical forest, many people opt for getting married with "cruise weddings" in the paradise of Punta Coral. Since the area shows no true signs of civilization, many people opt for the "Garden of Eden" style wedding that is available at Punta Coral.

Private Reserve Cruises
Since Punta Coral is privately owned, the only way to get there is by taking a private reserve cruise (you cannot drive to Punta Coral as there are no real roads to take). The private tour starts on an air conditioned bus that transports tourists from the Costa Rican capital city (San Jose) to Quepos, where you would then transfer to a boat. Some of the cruise amenities include traditional Costa Rican meals, fresh tropical fruit, soft drinks, a naturalist guide who can speak several languages, sea kayaks, snorkeling equipment, daily live music and much more. If you want to participate in the peaceful activities available on Punta Coral (such as seeing the 250 varieties of intriguing local wildlife), you must take a private reserve cruise.
