The Sheraton hotel chain acquired the Radisson Cable beach resort in Nassau, Bahamas, in 2006 and invested $82 million in renovating the beachfront hotel. With the only casino and golf course on Cable Beach, the 694-room Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort encapsulates luxury and family-friendliness on its property, with fine dining and casino gaming and touches like a Kids Club and babysitting services.
Wows and Woes

Wows: The resort has the largest secure beachfront of any hotel on Cable Beach at 1,000 feet. The golf course is among the finest in the island chain.
Woes: Pushy private watercraft and water sports contractors who inhabit the beach. They work with the hotel to provide the extra activities.

Insider Tips

The hotel offers an all-inclusive dining option for meals at the resort's three on-site restaurants. An on-site children's program creates all-day, supervised fun for kids, allowing adults to soak up the sun and enjoy themselves. The hotel has various free stay or free eating offers for children. An $18-per-day service fee covers housekeeping gratuities and wireless Internet access.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

I had the opportunity to stay at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort and found it to be an extremely relaxed environment compared to the neighboring Sandals resort. The flexible dining options and vibrant nightlife make this an attractive option for visitors to Nassau.

Bottom Line

The Sheraton Nassau Beach Club offers everything a guest needs to relax--an award-winning golf course, fine dining, extensive white beaches and surf and the only casino on Cable Beach.
