A Review of the Barcelo Tucancun

The Barcelo Tucancun beach offers the standard niceties expected in vacation traveling. A coffee maker and refrigerator which were restocked with soda, water and beer every day took things up a notch on the amenities list. During a recent visit, no Internet access was working in the hotel, but shops located across the lot include an Internet cafe.
Wows and Woes

Surprisingly, the low priced all-inclusive Barcelo Tucancun offered up the nicest beachfront to be had in the hotel zone within a mile of its location. The extra helpful attitude of the staff was inviting. Of course, on any vacation a good bartender is a treasure and the Barcelo had several of them. Only downside worth mentioning were the hard beds in the rooms.

There are a few things to keep in mind when visiting the Barcelo, the hotel is all-inclusive so you'll find moderate drinks and eats. However, a small propina or tip will bring excellent service from bartenders and housekeeping alike. Travelers needing affordable sundries can find them cheaper across the street from the hotel.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

After spending the hottest day on the vacation out on the beach playing and soaking up too much sun, the best beer ever served was found in the air-conditioned La Caraboya restaurant. The cold beer and cool room were a little slice of heaven.

Bottom Line

The Barcelo Tucancun is a good all around value for the tourist, especially with all meals and beverages included in the all-inclusive pricing.
