The Holiday Inn in Aruba offers its guests the option of an all-inclusive vacation. The package includes air transportation, all food and drinks and the cost of the hotel room. In-house entertainment during the evenings is also included. During the day guests can enjoy the use of snorkeling equipment, tennis courts, gym and pools.
Wows and Woes
The Holiday Inn provides guests with three restaurant choices. Make reservations early for the better restaurants, otherwise buffet dining is an option. The buffet is not the best in the world; the food was bland and lacked an assortment of choices.
Enjoy one of the two pools, water volleyball, tubes or snorkeling.
Adults enjoy the in house casino. During the day if you want to avoid the sun, play bingo. At night, the slot machines are the way to go.
Insider Tips
Go early to the beach area. Pick out the best sites to sit beneath the palm trees. Make your reservations early in the morning for seating in the restaurants. If you are taking your children to the restaurant, make reservations between 6 and 7 p.m. For a romantic evening set your reservations after 8 p.m.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
We spent an evening enjoying the live in house local musical performance. The performers were attired in native wear and regaled us with their native music and dance. The performers even provided some local dance lessons for the guests.
Bottom Line
For a family vacation on a limited budget the Holiday Inn in Aruba offers its guests a wealth of entertainment. It is well-worth the money spent.
