Overview of Hotels in the Bahamas
There are more than 700 islands in the Bahamas, covering more than 100,000 square feet. The majority of vacationers stay in hotels on Nassau/Paradise Island or Grand Bahama Island, with some on Out Islands like Abacos and Eleuthra.
Location
Hotels on Nassau/Paradise Island (connected by a bridge) and Grand Bahama Island can be reached through major airports. Small planes or boats are needed to get to hotels on other islands.
All-Inclusive?
The major islands have large hotels with all-inclusive accommodation plans, wrapping meals, drinks and activities into the package. Superclubs has a Breezes in Nassau, and there is Wyndham all-inclusive hotel on Grand Bahama Island.
Activities
Most of the hotels in the Bahamas are beachfront, offering an array of water activities, including snorkeling, scuba diving, jet skiing fishing. There is also golf, shopping and gambling on many islands.
Culture
People-to-People is a program that connects visitors and volunteer Bahamians to encourage cultural exchanges.
Considerations
There are many hotels and resorts throughout the Bahamas, whether looking for a grand experience---like Atlantis on Paradise Island---or something smaller---like the Abaco Inn.
