Main Pool, Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Located on a peninsula, the Sandals Grande St. Lucian overlooks peaceful Rodney Bay. The
Caribbean Sea is not far from the back of the
resort. This destination provides comfortable hotel accommodations with an expansive pool and swim-up bar, all with views of vibrant green hilltops and quiet waters just beyond a sandy
beach. All inclusive amenities such as elegant cuisine and top shelf drinks make this resort an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate.
Wows and Woes
Sunset over Rodney Bay
The view of Rodney Bay with floating sailboats and stunning sunsets immediately fills you with tranquility when you arrive.
The transportation from the airport is 90 minutes along winding roads. If you get a fast driver be ready for an adventurous ride.
Insider Tips
If you want some peace and quiet, head to the pools in the center of the property which extend from the swim-up rooms. Anyone can use them and they are quiet and secluded. For an inexpensive off-site excursion, a five minute walk will take you to Pigeon Island, a national park, where for an entrance fee of less than $10 USD you can hike up to Signal Peak for stunning views.

View of Rodney Bay from Lobby
My appreciation for St. Lucia and this resort grew the minute we stepped into the open-air lobby with a view of the peaceful bay. My favorite thing to do was relax in the large pool while gazing up at the peaks on Pigeon Island. A hike to the top of the peaks for exercise and for the views is highly recommended.
Bottom Line
Sandals Grande offers couples beautiful views of surrounding landscape and rather still waters. If tropical vegetation and crashing waves are more your style consider the Sandals Halcyon or Regency.
