Many rooms have beach or ocean views.
The Divi Aruba is an all-inclusive
resort consisting of one-, two- and three-story buildings with patios and balconies. Whether you like oceanfront, ocean view,
beach side or garden view, the facilities are clean and feature modern in-room amenities. Reciprocal arrangements with associated
resorts allow for eight dining choices and seven bars, most with ocean views. Golf is nearby, and water sports are accessible along with a seaside fitness center and spa. There's live entertainment nightly on-site, a casino within walking distance, and easy bus service to Oranjestad.
Wows and Woes
White sand beach and warm surf.
The beach at the Divi Aruba is an unobstructed expanse of soft, shell-free white sand. For people wanting sun, sand and surf within easy walking distance to their room, this stretch of beach will be perfect.
The beach is a highlight of this resort, but the rooms are not. The rooms are well maintained, but are still only standard hotel rooms. For people wanting fine furnishings and extra space, they won't be found at the Divi. Some water sports are located off-site, and the water is a bit murky at shore due to churned sand from the crashing surf.
Insider Tips
The Pelican Terrace restaurant
The food at the restaurants is well-prepared, and the service at the Red Parrot is superb. The wait staff is personable and gives every guest five-star service. The Pelican Terrace offers a sumptuous daily buffet-style meal for the all-inclusive, but the better food is found in the first few hours it is available. The pool is a consistent temperature and spacious enough for those who prefer not to swim in the ocean.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
One of many beautiful sunsets.
The beach is fantastic, the sand soft and smooth, and the sunsets were the best we've seen. Many picture opportunities were available on some rocks embedded in the sand at the far right side of the beach. There we were able to take some very nice photos and enjoy a clear view of the setting sun.
Bottom Line
The welcome sign at the Divi Beach Resort.
For an Aruba all-inclusive, you won't find a better, less crowded beach, especially so near your room. It's a simple hotel with great features and is value priced.
