Caribbean Tourism

The Caribbean Sea draws millions of tourists to the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and Haiti, among many others. While the white sand beaches and crystal clear water are the prime attraction, visitors also come for the resorts, diving, fishing and shopping.
Sport Fishing

Deep sea fishing is very popular in the Caribbean, including large trophy fish such as marlin, swordfish and sailfish. Antigua is generally regarded as home to the best deep sea fishing in the area, and St. Croix offers excellent deep sea sport fishing from September to June.

Sailing

The Caribbean is home to several yacht races, and locals and visitors alike enjoy the cool breezes and beautiful views that travel on the Caribbean offers. Grand Exuma in the Bahamas offers the National Family Island Regatta, with the winner claiming the title of the best sailor in the Bahamas.

Night Life

Many of the Caribbean's more popular destinations such as Jamaica and the Bahamas both offer excellent live music scenes. Jamaica naturally offers reggae, but larger communities in both countries offer a wide variety of music and dancing.

Shopping

From negotiating with a craftsman in an open air village market to boutique shopping in Kingston, Jamaica, the Caribbean offers a wide variety of shopping for everyone.

Scuba Diving

With its crystal-clear blue waters, coral reefs, shipwrecks and warm seas, the Caribbean is one of the best destinations in the world for scuba diving.

Other Water Sports

The Caribbean offers many more aquatic diversions than just sailing and diving, including parasailing, sea kayaking, snorkeling and windsurfing.
