The Best Destination for Weddings in the Caribbean
The Caribbean is an ideal location for a destination wedding. After all, the natural surroundings throughout the Caribbean region are gorgeous within themselves, leaving very little work to do when it comes to decorating. In addition, weather is almost always sublime, a factor which takes loads of stress off all those involved in planning the wedding. These Caribbean hot spots are excellent choices for your destination wedding.
Jamaica

The island of Jamaica is an excellent choice for a destination wedding, especially if the couple loves a good party scene, delicious food and ultimate Caribbean hospitality. The scenery is diverse and includes expansive beaches and jungle mountaintops. The island has many locations that are ideal for a wedding ceremony, and packages are available. Note that you must apply for a license and arrive at least 24 hours before the wedding ceremony with your birth certificates.

Aruba

Aruban residents are famously noted for their overt friendliness and genuine hospitality. In fact, Aruba has one of the highest rates of repeat visitors in the entire Caribbean region. The island itself offers a diverse range of wedding types. So whether you desire an old-fashioned chapel, garden gazebo or prefer the ocean's edge, Aruba can make it happen. Weather is especially nice in this area of the Caribbean with an average temperature of 82 degrees Fahrenheit and low humidity. Civil marriages are legal. For a religious service, you must already be legally married in your own country.

Bahamas

The Bahamas is one of the most popular places in all of the Caribbean and an ideal location for a destination wedding. The white sandy beaches and always-blossoming gardens bring in people from all over the world, including the rich and famous. There are over 700 islands to choose from in the Bahamas, some privately owned and others open to the public. Couples must reside in the country for at least 24 hours before tying the knot.

St. Lucia

St. Lucia serves as one of the top choices for couples planning a destination wedding. The island is home to idyllic scenery--including volcano peaks, ocean views and plush trees (19,000 acres, to be exact). This Caribbean getaway also houses some of the world's most beautiful flora and fauna, including the Amazona Versicolor, Jacquot and the national bird (once an endangered species). You must reside in the country for 48 hours in order to obtain a marriage license.
