The Bermuda Perfumery is primarily a place to to buy perfume, but there are also nature trails where you can see the flowers used in the signature scents. A tour guide will show you around. A small museum on-site offers educational opportunities about the history of the perfumery, which has been in business since 1928, in its current location since 2005.
Wows and Woes
This may not be the best place to take kids; although the fragrant gardens are gorgeous, the main point is smelling and buying perfume packaged in breakable glass.
Insider Tips
Do as the place suggests and smell the scents by putting on a card, not by putting on your skin. If you try out different scents, they will muddle on your skin and attract bugs.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
Our tour guide challenged us to identify such scents as oleander and frangipani, and by taking wild guesses, I nailed the correct answers. Of course, then I felt obligated to purchase something.
Bottom Line
This is a good place to get unique gifts. The prices are reasonable since you are buying from the source.
