The
Caribbean is an incredibly popular destination. There is much to do with gorgeous
beaches and activities for all ages. Many of the
resorts also offer all-inclusive packages.
Size
Sandals is the biggest all-inclusive resort chain in the Caribbean.
Considerations
Many resorts in the Caribbean cater solely to couples for the purpose of romance. Guests traveling with children must make sure children are allowed at the resort before booking.
Potential
Some Caribbean resorts offer the option of being an all-inclusive vacation, even if they usually aren't.
Misconceptions
Though many people think that all-inclusive resorts are very expensive, there are several all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean that fit low budgets.
Warning
There are some resorts in the Caribbean that claim to be all-inclusive, but have a fee that you must pay in order to use their facilities and/or make changes to the base package offered. Excursions and activities off of the resort grounds usually come with a hefty pricetag.
Geography
Many of the islands in the Caribbean are so small that it doesn't matter at which all-inclusive resort you stay. Many nearby resorts offer day passes to visitors that aren't staying at their resort for a nominal fee to check out their facilities.
Expert Insight
Virtually all all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean offer activities included in the price of the resort. SCUBA usually incurs an extra charge, as do excursions and activities away from the resort. Spa services also incur an extra fee.
