Wows and Woes
Whistler Cascade Lodge is located in the perfect location for skiing, ski lifts are just a 10 minute walk away and a bus stop for the complimentary shuttle is just across the street. However, there is a charge for parking and rooms only get cleaned if you stay five or more days.
Insider Tips
The condo/timeshare side of the lodge is noisy and faces the highway. Try to get a Mountain view which is away from the highway. Also, be careful when walking to the ski lifts in the mornings as the paths are not cleared very well and are quite icy.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I woke up early to get a head start on skiing before it got too crowded on the slopes and ended up slipping on black ice and falling right on my tail bone. It hurt so bad that I didn't think I should attempt skiing so I went back to the lodge and had to wait until 10 a.m. to sooth my pain in the hot tub.
Bottom Line
Whistler Cascade Lodge offers an amazing ski trip getaway with stunning views with a great location to Whistler's Village and is a great value for the money.
