How to Travel to Whistler, BC

The Whistler resort town in British Columbia is a prime destination for avid snowboarders, skiers and other thrill-seekers. It is a world-class ski destination with hundreds of trails, dozens of lifts and two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. The ski village also features plenty of shopping and entertainment venues, making it a popular year-round destination for skiers and non-skiers alike.

Book a flight into Vancouver International Airport.

Step 2

Reserve a seat on the Whistler Express, a shuttle bus that offers several trips from the airport to the mountain village every day. Tickets for the two-and-a-half-hour trip start at $48, and the bus has racks where you can stow your ski gear. Reservations can be made through Whistler Hotel's website, Perimeter Reservations website or by calling Perimeter at 888-717-6606.

Step 3

Make use of a car service that will get you there in style while you relax and enjoy the breathtaking view from the rugged Sea to Sky Highway, which leads directly to the mountain. If that option is too pricey, and you want the use of a vehicle during your vacation, there are car rental outfits located at Vancouver International Airport.

Step 4

If you are traveling to Whistler during the off-season (May to October) you have several other options. These include helicopter flights, float planes and the Whistler Mountaineer train.
