Toronto is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world -- as reflected in its people and cuisine.
Ontario's capital city, Toronto, the most visited city in
Canada, offers a wide variety of attractions. Cultural aficionados can explore the Royal Ontario Museum, outdoor enthusiasts will delight in a trip to the Toronto Islands and hockey fans won't want to miss the Hockey Hall of Fame. Toronto's diversity is also reflected in its cuisine. A trip down a common street, like Dupont, yields many offerings of ethnic cuisines to enjoy.
Bistro Tournesol
Bistro Tournesol is a charming French bistro on Dupont. Nestle into a table for two along the long, benched row and you'll feel transported to any bistro in Paris. The menu changes frequently, but you'll always find French staples like frisee salad with blue cheese and roasted walnut dressing, escargot a la bourguignon, bouillabaise and roasted duck breast. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited and diners tend to linger over their meal in this relaxed environment.
If you're not in the mood for French, turn the corner and visit the sister restaurant, Pizza Tournesol, for simple, yet charming Italian.
