Fondue is very popular with people interested in light eating as well as the pairing of cheese, wine and other foods. While there aren't any restaurants in Ottawa that specialize only in fondue, there are a handful of dining establishments that include fondue on their menus.
Foundation
The Foundation restaurant features a full dinner menu as well as specialty desserts including a dark-chocolate fondue for two. The fondue is served with cake squares and fruits for dipping. The Foundation is open for dinner only Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Reservations are highly recommended and require a credit card to hold (no shows will be charged). The atmosphere is casual fine dining: No need to rent a tux, just be sure to leave the torn jeans at home.

Casino Lac-Leamy
In addition to hotel accommodations and gambling tables, Casino Lac-Leamy features a multitude of restaurants. The Banco Buffet, located on the third floor of the casino, offers both chocolate and cheese fondues accompanied by the standard dipping fare of bread cubes and fruit.

Meule and Caquelon
Meule and Caquelon features a casual dining atmosphere, encouraging guests to not only take their time selecting and pairing meal and drink choices but to bring their own wine as well. Fondue is a prominent choice on the menu and is available in many options, from a Swiss-style fondue with croutons, ham and fruit to a Chinese-style vegetable fondue. The restaurant also serves chocolate fondue for dessert. Meule and Caquelon serves dinner only Wednesday through Sunday.
