As the home base of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team, Centre Bell brings big-name entertainment to the city. Located in downtown Montreal,
Canada, this sizable venue is in close proximity to all of the excitement this city has to offer. This property has the capacity to seat over 21 thousand people. Centre Bell is surrounded by restaurants, but there are several concession stands within the complex. For added convenience, the arena is also connected to the Metro Station.
Wows and Woes
If you are a smoker you will be happy to know that Centre Bell has a separate large indoor smoking area.
Centre Bell has several food concessions, but the prices are extremely high. Parking is also very heard to find, and it takes a while to leave the arena after sporting events.
Insider Tips
Since it can take forever to drive out of the parking lot after an event, instead of driving, take the Agence metropolitaine de transport, the public commuter train.
Author's Most Memorable Moment
I was very impressed with the amount of attention and respect given to former Canadian hockey greats. On the lower entry level of Centre Bell, there are busts and statues of top hometown hockey heroes. There are also jerseys of top retired players such as Bob Gainey, Larry Robinson and Guy Lafleur. As a huge hockey fan, I found this to be a very memorable experience.
Bottom Line
As far as sports and entertainment venues go, this place is top of the line. The crowds are always electrified and the arena is very well designed.
