resorts are equally spectacular. From chateau-style respites with easy access to the terrain to eco-minded boutique retreats, there's a spot to suit skiers of all skill levels.
Fairmont Tremblant, Quebec
Calling the Laurentian Mountains home, this chateau-style property is situated at the foot of Mont-Tremblant, where more than 600 acres of terrain dedicated to skiing and snowboarding. Ski in and out access at a lift outside the hotel makes the transition from resort to the slopes hassle-free. A health club with a heated pool, hot tub sauna and spa is a pleasant place to relax at the end of the day. Nearby, guests can tee off at two golf courses, take a gondola ride, or chill out at a beach and tennis club. Rooms are rustically elegant, and have either mountain or woodland views.
Banff Aspen Lodge, Alberta
Set amid the Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park, this lodgelike hotel is low key, but elegant with an outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam room. Close to Bow River and Bowl Falls, it's also nearby the Sulphur Gondola and upper hot springs. This modern, boutique hotel is perched in Whistler Village. Amenities such as a year-round, heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub---plus rooms with pillow-top mattresses---set the tone for a lavish getaway, just yards from the Whistler and Blackcomb ski lifts. The hotel has three restaurants and two lounges with access to more than 20 shops. It's also eco-conscious, as evidenced by its carbon footprint program.
