Canada has so many spectacular ski
resorts, that deciding on the best is a formidable task. There are resorts that appeal to powder hounds and others that are family-oriented. However, of all of the ski resorts in Canada, Whistler/Blackcomb has the most universal appeal.
Easy to Reach
The Perimeter Bus Company travels from the Vancouver Airport to the Whistler/Blackcomb resort. The trip takes about two hours, but getting there is half the fun. The Sea to Sky Highway offers spectacular vistas, so stay awake for the trip.
Two Great Mountains for the Price of One
Whistler and Blackcomb are located right next to each other, which gives you the option of varied terrain for every level of skier or rider.
An Extensive Lift and Gondola System
In recent years, the resort has added new lifts and gondolas, which means shorter lift lines, even in the busy seasons.
An Extended Season
Come during the summer and ski on the Blackcomb Glacier.
A World Class Ski School
Whistler Blackcomb has a variety of unique ski school programs. Be sure to check out Ski E'Spirit, which is described as "learning in motion." In other words, instead of repeating drills, learn new skills by exploring the two mountains.
World Class Apres Ski
No other mountain has as many apres ski options. The resort also attracts an international clientele, which makes life interesting.
The Best Sushi in North America
Be sure to check out Sushi Village, right near the Blackcomb Gondola.
Family Friendly
Whistler Blackcomb has an extensive kids program.
Night Skiing
In case you didn't get enough in the daytime, there's night skiing off of the Blackcomb lift.
