The Best Hotels in the Canadian Rockies
The Canadian Rockies are the portion of the Rocky Mountain range which extend north past the Canadian Border. The mountains offer a large area which has an almost infinite recreation potential for visitors to the outdoors. Since the mountain range covers a large part of western
Canada, there are many cities where one can stay. There are several great hotels in this region.
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge offers one of the most idyllic experiences in the Canadian Rockies. Located in Jasper National Park, this resort not only has great skiing, hiking and other adventure opportunities, it also boasts one of the best resort golf courses as rated SCOREGolf Magazine.
Their 446 guest rooms all include coffeemakers, cable television, data port, iron and ironing board. Their basic guest room comes with one bed or two (rooms with two beds are on a higher floor and are slightly larger than the one bed option). There are also several junior and full size options with different amenities (some rooms have Jacuzzi tubs or a fireplace.)
For dining, the resort offers guests ten different outlets, including in-room dining. This variation means that a guest will always be able to find food they enjoy. The resort features a 24 hour business center with copy, fax and Internet services. Other services include babysitting ($15/hour), complimentary self parking, laundry services and allows pets for an extra fee. Finally there is a spa and health club with outdoor heated pool.
