What Items Are Not Allowed on Airlines?

Airline Restrictions
Airline Restrictions
Airlines have become increasingly strict on what items are not allowed to be carried onto the plane, as well as restrictions on what cannot be brought onto the plane at all. This is to ensure public safety and meet TSA requirements.
Security Threats

Due to security threats, airlines have become conscience of risks associated with terrorist attacks. Each country has their own rules and regulations on what items are allowed with you during carry on, in your baggage and security restrictions that may affect your travel experience.

Completely Banned Items

Items that are completely banned from the aircraft should never be brought to the airport. Most items are common sense such as explosive materials, flammable items, gases and pressure containers, matches, oxidizers and organic peroxides, poisons, infectious materials, corrosives, organics, radioactive materials, magnetic materials or other dangerous items. These items are banned because of obvious intent one may use them for.

Items Only Allowed For Checked Baggage

You may bring certain items in your checked baggage, with some exceptions, meaning they cannot be carried onto the aircraft. Acceptable items for checked baggage include knives, firearms, firearm replicas, firearm parts, cutting instruments, sporting goods, paintball guns, tools and dry ice.
