Beach Activities in Sydney

Sydney is the biggest and most cosmopolitan city in Australia. It is famous for its gorgeous and vibrant beaches located along the Pacific coastline. There are also many rivers, harbors and bays to enjoy in Sydney.
Surfing

Cronulla beach is in Sydney and is known by many as the country's southside surf capital. The beach is known to have great breaks for surfing, whether you are merely a beginner or a seasoned professional. The southern end of Cronulla Beach has a vast array of reef breaks, like both Shark Island and the legendary Cronulla Point. If you want to surf comfortably in a wet suit, this is one of the best places to participate in surfing in Sydney.

Snorkeling

If you want to partake in the beach activity of snorkeling, Clovelly Beach in Sydney is a good place to go. This is a serene and tranquil beach that is especially popular with families. This beach is very sheltered, yet has clear waters that are perfect for viewing some of the area's vast array of marine life. Scuba Diving

The finest coastal diving in Sydney is usually believed to be found at off of Ben Buckler Point (the rocks off of north Bondi Beach). The waters at Ben Buckler Point alternate between being serene and rather aggressive. This point is the "extreme" part before Tasmin Sea is hit. A great place to go parasailing while in Sydney is at the glorious Sydney Harbour. Kayaking

Not only does the Sydney Harbor offer exciting parasailing, but it is also a terrific place to go kayaking. There are guided tours available of the lovely Sydney Harbour, and along the way you will make several stops at scenic beach locales for meals (and other purposes).
