Chiang Mai Empress Hotel Review

Located 15 minutes from the Chiang Mai International Airport, the Chiang Mai Empress Hotel is perfect for both leisure and business travelers. This 17-story hotel offers guests a variety of room accommodations ranging from standard rooms to suites. All rooms feature cable television and a minibar and refrigerator. Guest rooms are adorned with silks and woodcarvings. The Chiang Mai Empress Hotel has several on-site restaurants as well as a lounge that features live entertainment.
Wows and Woes

The location of the hotel is wonderful. It is only a 10-minute walk to the world-famous Night Market. Another good thing about this hotel is that the breakfast buffet is included in the price of the room.

The fitness center is small and outdated. Although comfortable, the room was a little old-fashioned and the bathroom was on the small side. Another drawback is that the hotel does not supply in-room safes. Any valuables should be kept at the front desk.

Insider Tips

When booking reservations at this hotel, upgrade to the deluxe room. Also try to request the twelfth floor. The rooms on this floor are larger and newer.

Author's Most Memorable Moment

I will always remember lounging poolside. The pool was quite pretty and featured an impressive poolside bar. The food and drinks at the bar were tasty and reasonably priced. The bar staff treated me like a princess and gave me a carefree and relaxed feeling.

Bottom Line

This hotel is a little older, but it is clean and comfortable. The staff is great and the rates are fabulous.
