The People's Republic of China has developed into an economic powerhouse in the 21st century as evidenced by its tourism boom. The central government's Communique on Tourism Statistics determined that 91.6 million foreign visitors entered China in 2003 alone. The nation's abundant labor force, factory capacity and research facilities have encouraged foreign businesses to invest in China. Business travelers must find business accommodations in Beijing to stay comfortable during long stays.
