San Juan Batangas is a coastal city within the Philippines. It is known for beautiful white
beaches devoid of tourist traps, and a scuba diver's dream of underwater reefs, gardens, coves, caves and bays. There are panoramic views of volcanoes, mountains and ocean sunsets, as well as the inner town known for craft making, delicious local cuisine, and historical Spanish churches to view. The population is about 87,000. The tourists are in the low numbers (even though it is the most popular tourist destination in the Philippines), making it an ideal place for those looking to experience something more exotic without the crowds. There are several hotels and
resorts in San Juan Batangas, but a couple stand high above the rest.
Eagle Point Resort
This resort offers sixteen air-conditioned individual cottages for singles, couples or families. Comfort is key here, with private bathrooms and balconies in each cottage, as well as a four bunk rooms (like a hostel) for those on a tight budget who want to experience the resort. Ten luxury cabanas have balconies that face the sunset and have more modern amenities in the bathrooms. The beach is adorned with outdoor huts for relaxing. The resort has a five-star quality restaurant and clubhouse on site with a convenient front office, conference room, gift shop, game room and kitchen in case you need anything during your stay. The sturdy clubhouse is built with tall ceilings made of thick oak beams, giving a large panoramic view of the ocean. The restaurant provides a range of dishes, including seafood, oriental, Filipino and continental to satisfy all hunger needs. Activities include scuba diving and snorkeling lessons, a children's area with a pool and playground, a pool with a waterslide, a kayaking area and a butterfly park. Keep in mind that the minimum night stay is five nights during high season and three nights during off season.

Matabungkay Beach Resort
This resort is ideal for any sort of vacation, whether it is a romantic getaway, a family reunion, a group of friends or a solo traveler. This is because it offers so many activities and types of accommodations. Not only are there 57 different types of guest rooms, but there are also a dozen suites and sixteen villas. All are air-conditioned with private bathrooms and provide televisions, pay-per-view, a mini bar and spacious patio. There are several dining options to chose from at this beach resort. Try out Café Caballero if you are looking for an a la carte menu with local cuisine and music, or else check out Camachile Bar and Grill which is located on the beach. It provides beautiful views of the sea and islands while dining on freshly caught seafood. There is even a bar on site for those who would rather stay at the resort and have some nightlife. This resort has many amenities for parties and groups, from large verandas or conference rooms. Portulano Dive Resort
This is a resort that is prime for those who come to San Juan Batangas to snorkel and scuba dive, and also for those who want the ultimate laid back and relaxed vacation experience. Amenities include a private parking lot (in case you rent a car), a knowledgeable and very friendly staff, beautiful landscaping detail and numerous lounging areas with comfy chairs. The comfortable rooms all face the water, and it is recommended to leave open your veranda doors throughout the day, even at night, to enjoy the sound of the waves crashing and the ocean breeze. A reef is available only for the guests at this resort to explore, with lots of marine life. The main dining option is a buffet with a large selection of snacks and entrees, but it is smart to have a small cooler in your room for drinks and snacks as when there is no meal time at the resort, there is no way to get food since you are far from the city. In-room massage services are offered for very reasonable prices, and all meals are included in the room price (breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet each and every day).
