Batam has warm and sunny weather year-round. In fact, in most instance, your only concern is whether or not it will rain. Even though the weather does not change much between the months, it is beneficial to know what to expect when you are on vacation. Knowing how the weather is going to be during your stay will make it a lot easier to decide what to do and what to pack.
Location
Batam is a small island and part of the Indonesian archipelago. It is located about 13 miles off the south coast of Singapore.
Climate
Batam has hot and humid tropical climate with very little variations between the seasons.
Humidity
The humidity level ranges between the minimum of 70 percent and the maximum of 96 percent. The average humidity is 80 percent.
Temperature
The average temperatures around the year range between 79F and 86F. It is warm and sunny every day, but nights have cooler temperatures making it a little bit more comfortable for you to sleep.
Rainfall
The dry season is from May to September, when the monthly amount of rain varies between 50 mm and 112 mm. The rainy season is from October to April, when short but heavy showers alternate with sunny days and rain amounts change between 89 mm and 326 mm. The wettest months are between November and January.
