Egypt Tour Review

En route to the Great Pyramids
En route to the Great Pyramids
The Great Pyramids of Giza are located in Cairo, Egypt. A trip to Egypt would not be complete if you did not visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World. One tour option is by horseback. Horseback tours are reasonably priced and, for horse lovers, double the fun. It also prevents you from having to walk the whole tour, which can be tiring.
Wows and Woes
Great Pyramids and the Sphinx
Great Pyramids and the Sphinx

Wows:
There are openings in each pyramid that had steps leading down inside that visitors are allowed to go into.

Woes:
Going down the steps can make one claustrophobic, not being able to do anything but wait if people listening to a tour guide block the exit to the steps. It also can be exhausting climbing back up.

If you do not want to buy a drink from vendors, do not hold it. If you hold it, they will not let you give it back to them and insist you bought it. Tour guides will try to get you to go to their little shops to sell oils or other tourist items

Camel picture

A vendor was selling pictures of a tourist sitting on his camel. We had no desire to get a picture since we had ridden camels in other countries. He had my husband off his horse, dressed in Arabian attire and on the camel before we knew it. We had no choice but to buy the picture. This happened with drinks, too.

Bottom Line

Traveling by horse made the trip more enjoyable because the trek is long and the terrain is rough. Plus, it gives you a view from off the ground.
