Boumalne Climate & Weather

Boumalne is a town in southeastern Morocco near the Atlas Mountains. It is located at one end of the Dades Valley, which is nicknamed the "Valley of the One Thousand Kasbahs." Morocco is a small country on the northwest coast of Africa.
Rainfall

Morocco receives very little rainfall, in general. The Atlas Mountains provide the best opportunity for rain, so Boumalne can receive an average of 32 inches of rain between December and March, although January is typically a pretty dry month. The mountains also make the weather more unpredictable than the rest of Morocco with the occasional storm.

Spring

The weather in the spring (March to May) in Boumaine is typically dry and pleasant with plenty of sunshine and highs usually in the 80s in May. The Atlas mountains will still have snow on them, so the nighttime temperatures can cool down to the 50s.

Summer

Boumalne is very dry and hot during the summer months (June to August). The temperatures can soar above 100 F during the day, and there is usually very little rain. The mountains help to cool off Boumalne at night into the 60s and 70s.

Fall

The temperatures begin to cool off during September. October is still warm during the day with highs in the 70s and lows that can get down into the 40s. Boumalne will usually remain mostly dry until December.

Winter

Winters in Boumalne (December to February) are moderate with snow being a very rare event and rainfall happening only occasionally. Storms can provide impressive downpours on occasion. Temperatures occasionally get to freezing with highs usually in the 50s. There is snow in the Atlas Mountains, enough for people to ski during the winter.
