Grand Canyon Vacations

Grand Canyon vacations are as versatile as they are exhilarating. Whether you are planning a romantic excursion for you and your sweetheart or an adventurous trip for the entire family, the Grand Canyon can accommodate. As someone who has visited Grand Canyon National Park on numerous occasions, allow me to take this opportunity to offer some suggestions.

Suggestions in Grand Canyon Vacations
If you are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon for the first time and have some time (and money) to spend, then I suggest a helicopter/rafting combo tour. Few things compare to the feeling one gets when staring into the vast crevasse of the Grand Canyon. Nothing, that is, except a helicopter tour. Helicopters are able to descend to places inside the canyon not accessible by plane or bus.

After experiencing bird's eye view after view while soaring through the canyon, your helicopter/rafting combo trip will most likely include a subsequent stop at the Boulder City Airport where you will begin your rafting trip. Depending on the length of your tour and the number of people in your party, you will be able to experience an entirely different perspective of the Grand Canyon while rafting through the Colorado River. Natural features such as hidden waterfalls, caves, and inner canyons are only accessible from the river.

Helicopter/rafting combo tours of the Grand Canyon are terrific because they allow participants to experience a great deal of the canyon in a relatively short amount of time. When choosing a charter company to facilitate your trip, make sure to get plenty of references from a handful of different places. Contact your local travel agent and/or hotel concierge for a list of names.
