Hot air balloon rides are exhilarating adventures. Without the restrictions imposed by aviation crafts such as helicopters and airplanes, hot air balloons allow passengers to freely experience what it's like to soar. With the wind in your face and the clouds in your hands, hot air balloon rides are experiences not soon forgotten.
Private Balloon Rides
Hot air balloon rides are generally broken down into two categories: group and private. I recommend I private trips for several reasons. To begin with, private trips are much more intimate and passengers are allowed choices in travel that individuals traveling in groups are not. Additionally, customary hot air balloon baskets can only hold four to six people. Therefore in order to take a group trip, individuals must travel in modified carriers. Granted, private hot air balloon rides are a bit more expensive than group trips but in my experience, the additional cost is worth it.
The best place to experience a hot air balloon ride is over a geographical location that holds sentimental value and/or particular interest. My fiance and I, for instance, love wine vineyards and have therefore taken numerous hot air balloon rides above Napa Valley. The bird's eye view of the vineyards in combination with the exhilaration of riding in a hot air balloon is utopia for him and me.
If you are traveling someplace special and would like to make the trip a truly memorable one, then I recommend taking a hot air balloon ride. Just make sure that the charter company providing the service is a reputable one and that it has been in business for several years. Also make sure to grab a sweater as it tends to get cold hundreds of feet above ground!
