The second key to a money-making travel business is to have clients. This doesn't have to mean that you go out and find 50 complete strangers to become clients. Indeed, you can get your travel business going just by booking your own travel and your friends and family's.

The great thing about the online travel agency I'm with is that it is a network of thousands of people. Put together, the sales are through the roof so an individual travel agent doesn't have to sell 300 trips a year. You decide the number of people you want to sell to and how often.

While the travel business basics for other companies might be different and more time-consuming, these are the basics for the way I was able to start a travel agency.
