I wish I were as smart as some of the other travel agents working for Global Travel International. There are a number people who work for pretty big corporations who have begun to take advantage of the need for business travel, creating corporate travel agent jobs for themselves. Basically, they sign up as a travel agent for a company, and book all of that company's travel.

Such clever folks can be anyone like a receptionist or a vice president looking to make more money by creating the corporate travel agent jobs need and filling it. In addition, there are people who happen to know someone who works in a big corporate office and offers to serve as a corporate travel agent. Because of the amount of business, he or she makes more money and the company gets a big discount.

Corporate Travel Agent Jobs and Big Money
Usually, it would require tons of credentials to be considered for any of the many corporate travel agent jobs out there. If you're an insider, however, and the company doesn't have to pay you extra (because you're getting it from the agency) you're pretty likely to get the job. Imagine, you can be a corporate travel agent and make a lot of money without doing too much!

I'll say it again--I wish I were as smart as the people who first thought to do this! Maybe you can join them in their cleverness and become a corporate travel agent for your company. I'm sure the current job market, and the excitement of becoming a travel agent are reason enough to find out about these jobs and take advantage of the opportunities.
