Timeshare Purchases

From a buyer's standpoint, the best timeshare purchases are undoubtedly on the resale market. When you can lose more than fifty percent of your resale value in the first two-to-three years, getting in on the ground floor is sort of like jumping off of the top floor. (Maybe it's not such a great idea.)

Again, you can set up timeshare purchases without the middleman (if you know your market, and you're well-connected). Unless you're already a lawyer with some real nestate expertise, it's always a good idea to have one handy. These deals can go wrong in a million little places.

Making Clean Timeshare Purchases
If there's one point that I can't make often enough, it's this: do not make timeshare purchases without first inspecting the property yourself. I don't care how good it looks on paper. I don't care how great the pictures are. If you can't confirm that the property lives up to its hype and suggestion, then don't do it!

People who make timeshare purchases without double-checking everything will no doubt live to regret it. There are a lot of honest people in this lifestyle, but there are a lot of sharks, too. Don't chum the waters with impulsive "innocence". Timeshare people are known to play hard. Don't get hurt.
