It's a lot of fun to rent timeshares. In fact, it's by far the simplest way to get involved with the timeshare world. There are no overhead costs, no maintenance fees, no swords of Damocles dangling over your head. You have no more responsibility than you do as a hotel guest.
This is not to say that most people who rent timeshares out are suckers, who'll let you get away with murder. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is big money invested in quality timeshares, and they won't open their doors to every Tom, Dick, and Harry. (At least one of those boys must have spotless credit, and a golden reputation.)
Conditions to Rent Timeshares By
As is so often the case in modern life, there's a certain element of Catch-22 involved. It may be hard to get someone to trust you the first time (especially if you're young and unproven). Many people won't rent timeshares to a newbie, without backup from mom or dad (or some other responsible party).
However, once you've done it successfully, it becomes much easier to rent timeshares. You get a good rep in your timeshare circuit, and it can precede you around the world. You get a bad rep, on the other hand, and you may never rent timeshares on this earth again!
