Tourism is a big part of San Antonio--the city pretty much defines the culture of southern Texas. The most exciting attraction is the Alamo, located in the heart of downtown San Antonio. This path snakes through downtown, and is a great way to get an idea of all that downtown has to offer. For the history buff, there's so much more to see in San Antonio than just downtown--the northern areas are rich in culture, as well. Two historic districts--Monte Vista and King William, offer quaint architecture and a unique look at the San Antonio way of life. After visiting these spots, jet on over to a northern San Antonio suburb for the best dining and shopping in the area.

With all of the things to do and see in San Antonio, it's important not to get overwhelmed. It's nearly impossible to see all of San Antonio in one trip. Getting across town in San Antonio can be a pain, so it's usually a good idea to book a hotel that's near the attractions you'd like to see.
