Luxury Hotels in North San Antonio Are Expensive
Northern San Antonio has lots to see in terms of history and culture, but the hotel rates can be much more expensive. For visiting and lodging in northern San Antonio, it's usually preferable to stay on the Northwest Side. Here, you'll find a great variety of cost-effective places to stay, and it only takes a short car ride to see the million-dollar homes of Alamo Heights.

If you're planning to spend most of your San Antonio vacation outside of the hotel, make sure it's near several great attractions. Downtown is filled with historical sites and exciting nightlife, which is why it's the most popular place for luxury hotels. However, if you plan to spend most of your vacation getting pampered in the hotel, you might prefer to stay somewhere less on the beaten path, for budgetary reasons.
