Obviously some springbreak spots are going to be safer than others, but there is no reason that you should worry about it as long as you remember a few simple tips. If you get careless you might not have the kind of spring break you were looking for.

First of all, know the laws of the place you are in. Not only if you are in a different country, but remember each state and sometimes city has its own laws. If you are not sure about something, like if you can drink on the beach, just ask someone.

Safety While on Springbreak
The first and most obvious tip is that you do not want to be walking around by yourself. That is just asking for trouble. Safety in numbers is a good way to keep out of trouble, especially for the women. If you are a guy, don't think that bad things can't happen when you are stumbling around by yourself, so make sure at least one person is with you.

Try not to go wandering around the back alleys unless you know where you are going. A drunk springbreaker, wandering around a back alley is open game for people trying to take advantage. Don't let any of this worry you though, as long as you use reasonable judgment you should have a safe and fun springbreak.
