For spring break vacation spots, what is considered the top location is highly debated. However, if people want to assure themselves of a good time, then the Caribbean can be a great place to go. A close second might be Mexico, but then Miami would have a lot to say about that. Palm Springs is a wonderful location for those in the Southland to drive out to without having to spend the money traveling to some exotic location. A trip to Palm Springs can be worth it simply to be able to enjoy cruising along the main drag that is so famous.
The Top Spring Break Vacation Spots
The number one spring break vacation spot has to be Cancun, a place that has a history of providing the most spectacular spring breaks. Though it might not be the most affordable or crowded, especially with the rise of locations in Mexico, Baja California and Florida, it combines all of these aspects, along with its sheer beauty, to make it the number one spring break vacation spot. After all, Cancun has white sand beaches, bartenders in the pool (and on the beach and in the clubs), and playful collegiates as far as the eye can see--what more does anyone want out of a spring break location?
The number two spring break location, and this is one that could be debated, is Cabo San Lucas. This little beachside Mexican town started as a fishing resort for people from California. The deep sea trolling and fishing was unmatched along the California coast, and tours from San Diego and Dana Point would often leave in the early morning to travel down the coast to Cabo San Lucas to fish these waters.
Soon thereafter, the little resort town turned into a larger resort town that catered to more than just fishermen. Bars and restaurants started popping up, and condos were built to accommodate the amount of visitors that had become accustomed to traveling south for the winter. As spring break vacation spots go, this is one of the best! With the Cabo Wabo Cantina, the Sammy Hagar-owned bar, bringing popular culture to the resort town, spring break has become intertwined with the beautiful beaches and great fishing.
